Important, some people have complained this map is too dark. It's fine on most machines however, so i've left it the way it is. Just turn your gamma up. The outside area is supposed to be really dark though. Although it seems stupid it really adds to the gameplay up there because you can creep around in the shadows with your shotgun playing merry hell.
I also wanted to create a stark contrast between the inside and outside and I love the idea of this big hole of light in the ground.

This is the second map I ever built after Check point Alpha. That's a lie actually. It is like the second map I ever built but it's been redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up although it has the same feel. Check Point Bravo was originally finished just after check Point Charlie, 2 or so months after I started mapping. That was August last year I think
Check point alpha may get reworked but I doubt it...

Oh and the gauss gun is on top of the little explosives hut.

17.01		2 children are reported missing, wide scale search of the area begins. Search 		
		instigated by the local police forces.

Day 2

04.18am		2 bikes found near the entrance of an extensive cave system near 			
		town, fire service called.

07.29am		Fire service arrive on scene. extensive search of cave system begins 			
		using all emergency services, national guard and local civilian volunteers  

11.50		Arizona cave rescue team called, flown into the area by USAF

12.07		Children located, 1 casualty suffering from radiation sickness,  2 broken 		
		ribs fractured right fibula, internal bleeding, 1 fatality	

14.41		Casualty extracted from cave system. Cave rescue members report 'large glowing object sticking out of the rock'

14.50		National guard seals off area, cave rescue team placed under house arrest

15.00		False nuclear emergency placed into action using local power plant (approx.70km from area 91). Population 		within 120 km radius evacuated 

16.22		Black ops arrive on scene, descent into cave system begins
		First hand witnesses neutralised
		Secondary witnesses held indefinitely

16.31		First contact situation declared. Full scale recovery operation begins

day 3

05.30		facility construction begins. Ordinance survey contacted, necessary changes made.

day 7		-Research facility completed 
		-operational status secure
		-Incident location moved 4km north, north east

day 8		-Security forces in place, ops pull out
		-Science team flown in from Black Mesa facility 200km south east (approx. 12 staff, extraterrestrial 			 zoologists and aeronautical archaeologists)


Ok, ok I know it's a shit story line, but I was young, I didn't know what I was doing etc. Sob
Why the date, well it's my birth date so I send me gifts (e.g. gold, frankincense etc) :)
oh and that's March the 12th not the 3rd of December for all my American friends

Yeah, The first time I did this map it looked a lot more like Hl:3Arenas, but I thought I'd break out of the usual style and go realistic for once. Hope it doesn't disappoint, I've tried to keep it interesting, like including a 'white' room in a rusty industrial style building. 
Where else would they dissect the bodies?

New Textures	: Yes, all self serving, (i.e., my name, logo and e-mail addy) but hopefully I've managed to keep them 	 	  	  DISCRETE !!!!!!!!!!! ahem. One you can't even see without using zoom. Oh and there's one to do with 			  the Egon....(if you find my college library card then use it is all I'm saying) Finally there's one for a 		  little visual joke.
